About Drums 4 Beginners
rumsD 4 beginners is taught in the West Midlands on a one to one basis by drum tutor Ben Bradley who has over 17 years experience of playing the drums. Lessons include comprising rudiments, exciting rhythms and techniques. Students may choose to learn for fun or study the ‘Learn as you play drums’ book. Students also get the opportunity to play along with pre-recorded tracks and are welcome to bring CDs to lessons for help with the drum parts. Some of the other subjects taught are;
- Different genres, e.g. rock, blues, jazz, pop
- Snare drum technique
- Independence
- Co-ordination
- Musicianship
- Polyrhythms
- Accents
- Metronome / click track
- Reading music
- Irregular time signatures
- Linear time patterns
- Counting(!)
